An organic farm is a closed system observing the principals of minimal intervention free of pesticides; it is not dependent on chemicals but the maintenance of healthy soil and a stress-free environment for farm stock.

Partry House Farm is farmed and managed on these principles and this has helped maintain the pristine and delicate environment within which wildlife thrives. The estate is designated a Special Area of Conservation under the EU directive and has heritage status.

It is not uncommon to meet one of the many wild fallow deer on a lakeshore walk or to occasionally disturb a pine martin, or a fox. The whaleback limestone bordering Bridgepark is an ideal environment for many different rare species of dwarf orchid and more unusual pines. Lough Carra is a treasured sanctuary for insects and birdlife that find shelter on crannogs in the lake as well as on the shores.
